As a committed petrol head it’s great to find that one of my favorite Motoring news sites has gone mobile…
Big congratulations to the teams at Haymarket and YOC for making this happen…. but why not use mobile detection instead of the “mobile.” prefix?

Hi, we at PistonHeads are glad you like it as it has been a lot of hard work to get to this stage. The mobile detection is still something we are working on and hopefully will have a solution soon (our server architecture means that this isn’t simple to turn on).
We wanted to get the mobile version up and running before solving this problem as we know many of our members were keen on having a proper mobile version.

We’ve got mobile detection sorted and would be willing to help you out if you need it. How about a contradeal where you put some of our ads on your mobile site in exchange?
Anyway I’m sure the hard work is going to pay off… it looks great!
