Anil Malhotra, SVP of Marketing at Bango, said: “With 245 million subscribers, it was only a matter of time before the US became the number 1 country in the world for mobile web browsing. When it comes to payments though, the US is accelerating faster than any other country and now accounts for 57% of payments worldwide, compared to 38% in the UK.”

I can’t agree more, without ever even marketing the 3G Dating Agency in the US we’ve recently seen new member applications from the US out-number UK applications by nearly 2 to 1…

The UK Mobile Operators 3, O2, Orange, T-Mobile, Virgin and Vodafone have joined in with the spirit of giving and agreed to waive their usual charges to ensure the full value of the donation text goes to Comic Relief.

To send a £5 donation simply send a text to 66609

To send a £1 donation simply send a text to 88808

Emma Freud, Trustee of Comic Relief, said: “The spirit of the entire mobile industry has taken our breath away. We believe receiving every penny from texts donated by the public will make the most remarkable difference – helping us to transform and save literally thousands of lives. An astonishing £190,000 was donated via the £1 text donation line on the first day it opened on Radio 1, and in that week it raised nearly £800,000. We have high hopes for the £5 text line on Red Nose Day.”

“provide young men and women with new ways of discreetly overcoming Saudi Arabia’s policy of strict segregation between the sexes. There are many stories of couples secretly dating and falling in love, but being unable to tell their parents because they could never explain how they knew each other in the first place”.

How far would you go on a first date?

Posted in Uncategorized on March 10, 2009 by the3gdatingagency

A survey into on-the-road relationships of 1500 UK adults by Vauxhall Motors in February 2009 has revealed:

> One in five Brits admits to happily driving over 150 miles to go on a date
> 42% of single Brits admit to having been on a long-distance date
> 1 in 5 of single Brits have been on a date or had a relationship with a partner over 150 miles away – the equivalent of London to Cardiff.
> The most adventurous when seeking out love appear to be singles from the South West who are prepared to travel for a date or relationship averaging at 73 miles, followed by Londoners (67 miles). Those most content to look for love closer to home are those in the East Midlands (46 miles).
> The average distance love-seeking British singles drive each week to meet dates or a long-distance partner is 29 miles. That means singles are romantically revving up a whopping 502 million ‘love’ miles EACH WEEK* for candlelit dinners and maybe a kiss and a cuddle.

With petrol pump prices at £1 a litre and the average car getting about 30 mpg that’s about £63 million pounds worth of fuel or 1850 tanker trucks being spent every week bringing couples together for dates!

Maybe we should be calling the 3G Dating Agency a Green Tech company!!!!

Alan Moore explains what was wrong with interruptive communications and what a brand needs to do to lead. Click here for the Video on Vimeo

“Young people have a very different relationship with media. That they do want to create. They do want to share. They do want to discuss. He (Henry Jenkins) says consumption is now participatory. It is a participatory media that we live in. The image on the right is from Cyworld in South Korea – a virtual world a bit like Habbo Hotel but you can also manage it from your mobile phone. 95% of the entire teenage population in South Korea belong to CyWorld. Who’s it owned by? A mobile phone company. How do you generate data usage? You create things that are so engaging that people want to be part of it.”
