Social Networking Site Mixi has taken steps including deleting members and groups who are involved in “Dating” or “Offline Meeting” in order to comply with the “Dating Site Regulation Act” which acts to prohibit 18+ members from being able to use social networking sites for dating or off line meetings with under 18’s.
With MySpace banning 30,000 sex offenders back in 2007, it is great to see a Social Networking site taking a more responsible position on what they can and can’t safely offer.
