Social Networking Site Mixi has taken steps including deleting members and groups who are involved in “Dating” or “Offline Meeting” in order to comply with the “Dating Site Regulation Act” which acts to prohibit 18+ members from being able to use social networking sites for dating or off line meetings with under 18′s.

With MySpace banning 30,000 sex offenders back in 2007, it is great to see a Social Networking site taking a more responsible position on what they can and can’t safely offer.

Ryanairs Funny Safety Card

Ryanair’s online engagement marketing never ceases to delight me… and the latest wheeze from Michael O’Leary, CEO of Europes biggest airline operator, is a €1000 prize competition to find the silliest thing that they could charge excess fees for. Why don’t you take part in the fun by emailing them your idea… i couldn’t help but send them three of my hair brain suggestions:

1) Forget Aisle seats and priority boarding how about £25 to sit next to the Tall Dark and Handsome I saw on the way up to the aircraft?
2) What about £50 to sit on the ‘Single and Looking’ seats. Why not launch an inflight dating service and call it “Single Class”.
3) How about using the Seat Belt Lights to coordinate inflight speed dating rounds… should be a hit as everyone knows the rules already: you have to remain in your seat whenever the seat belt lights are turned on.

You can now use your mobile onboard Ryanair Planes

More details here, send your competition entry’s to competition@ryanair.com

In an interesting Forbes article, LG Mobile share the secret of how they’ve overtaken SonyEricsson & Motorola in the last 12 months to join the Global Cell Phone Big league along with Nokia and Samsung.

Brian Ham, Senior Manager in LG’s Mobile Communications Design Research Lab in Seoul says:

“Our ultimate objective is to have customers be emotionally attached to our products… … Customers today don’t buy phones just because of the price, you have to make your products more attractive and touch people emotionally.”

Here’s a sneak preview of what the new 3G Dating application will look like… i’m sure you’ll agree with me that it’s the ultimate seductive experience in Mobile today!
